Rachael Wood is an established session guitarist, composer and teacher.

 

Rachael started teaching 20 years ago, and has seen student successes with professional guitarists and songwriters under her guidance. She has a first class honours degree in Guitar from BIMM, has studied orchestration certificates at Berklee, and has a wealth of knowledge from over 15 years of professional gigging as both a guitarist and Musical Director.

 

As a pop session player Rachael has performed with artists including Sinead O’Connor, Katie Melua and Nicola Roberts across Europe for both live shows and live publicity on TV and radio, and in recent years she has been touring with Cirque du Soleil as MD and lead guitarist. She has performed to sell out audiences across the world at festivals, on live radio and TV, in arenas and at prestigious venues such as The Royal Albert Hall.

 

Rachael has also written articles for UK magazines “Guitarist” and “Total Guitar”, and if not on the road is usually tweaking guitar sounds and writing in her her professional home studio in the UK.
